چکیده
We report the synthesis of a highly active and stable metal-organic framework derived Ni-based catalyst for photothermal reduction CO2 to CH4. Through controlled pyrolysis MOF-74 (Ni), nature carbonaceous species therefore performance can be tuned. CH4 production rates 488 mmol g?1 h?1 under UV-visible-IR irradiation are achieved when is prepared optimized conditions. No particle aggregation or significant loss activity were observed after ten consecutive reaction cycles more than 12 hours continuous flow configuration. Finally, as proof-of-concept, we performed an outdoor experiment ambient solar irradiation, demonstrating potential our reduce using only energy.

The Kinetics of Methanation on Nickel Catalysts
An empirical rate equation was obtained for the methanation kinetics catalyzed by MCR-2X, a commercial catalyst prepared by Haldor-Topsoe. The studies were carried out in a fixed-bed reactor under differential conditions, and in a gradientless recycle reactor (Berry) over a range of total pressures, reactant concentractions (H2/CO ratios), and temperatures. The kinetics of methanation were foun...
متن کاملA functionalised nickel cyclam catalyst for CO₂ reduction: electrocatalysis, semiconductor surface immobilisation and light-driven electron transfer.
The immobilisation of electrocatalysts for CO2 reduction onto light harvesting semiconductors is proposed to be an important step towards developing more efficient CO2 reduction photoelectrodes. Here, we report a low cost nickel cyclam complex covalently anchored to a metal oxide surface. Using transient spectroscopy we validate the role of surface immobilisation on enhancing the rate of photoe...
متن کاملNickel-induced morphology change of mesostructured alumina with enhanced catalytic activity for selective CO methanation.
Nickel-induced morphology change of mesostructured alumina with amorphous walls to bayerite tetrahedra when treated in water, and then to γ-alumina with worm-like mesopores topologically after it was calcined at 400 °C is reported. The catalytic activity for selective CO methanation increased significantly after this treatment.
